Thomas Cox is a seasoned corporate attorney with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial transactions. As Corporate Counsel at a large international freight company, he plays a key role in structuring, negotiating, and executing strategic commercial transactions across the enterprise. He also oversees corporate compliance matters, manages intercompany transactions, and provides strategic legal support on a range of commercial agreements.
Prior to this role, Thomas was an Associate at MendenFreiman, where he handled all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, purchase agreements, and risk assessment related to representations and indemnity obligations. He also advised clients on corporate structuring, entity formation, and complex commercial contracts, such as licensing and technology service agreements.
Thomas earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was recognized with Order of the Coif honors, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia. Admitted to the Georgia Bar since 2014, he brings a strong combination of legal expertise and financial insight to a wide range of corporate matters.
