On behalf of C&A, David Cook joined with many rural telcos in “A Call to Action” to demand that broadband policymakers improve USF funding by expanding the services that contribute to the USF. The USF is an important mechanism for expanding communications to rural areas. As part of the request, C&A and many of our clients requested “immediate action to reform and stabilize the funding mechanism that supports the USF by expanding the list of services that pay into it to include broadband internet access services (BIAS).”
