On March 7, 2011, the NRTC announced that it would offer a wireless AMI (advanced metering infrastructure) system to its members from Sensus. See the announcement here. NRTC will act as a value-added reseller of the Sensus FlexNet long-range wireless system. System features include automated meter reading, real-time outage notification, distribution automation, home area networking, and integration with meter data management systems and consumer information systems. Attorney Roland Hall has assisted the firm’s electric cooperative clients with negotiating agreements for installation of Sensus AMI systems.
